by Michelle on April 24, 2008

Last weekend was the first ever “Idea State U” competition. The contest found undergrad and grad students from state universities competing in two tracks: business plan and concept. Nearly $100,000 in prize money was given away in the competition and students at the University of Louisville represented our city well by winning well over half of the prize money.

Here are the winning teams from the University of Louisville

  • Partum Group (grad students) $44,660, business plan to market a new medical device.

Is any one else in Louisville having T1 (Speakeasy) problems? Mine has been down since around midnight last night and I’m still waiting on Bell South to pay me a visit. Hmmm…I’m thinking that last nights storm had something to do with it. But why only my DS1? Grrr….

Has anyone read The New Yorker article by Malcom Gladwell on the frequency of big ideas? If so, what’d you think?
