MedTrackAlert Sold

by Michelle on June 11, 2008

Yesterday it was announced that MedTrackAlert, the Louisville company that delivers e-mail newsletters on health topics to opt-in audiences, was acquired by The HealthCentral Network.

“MedTrackAlert is a perfect complement to HealthCentral’s already powerful, highly targeted online health network,” said Christopher M. Schroeder, President and CEO of The HealthCentral Network. “We now have the largest, highest-quality capability for bringing together passionate and motivated health consumers with the most relevant advertiser information and offers.”

MedTrackAlert co-founders Ted Smith and David Silver will join HealthCentral, leading development of ad products, analysis and marketing and HealthCentral’s offering of advertiser services and audience research. Smith becomes Vice President of Patient Engagement and Marketing. Silver becomes a Vice President of Business Development.

Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.

Is any one else in Louisville having T1 (Speakeasy) problems? Mine has been down since around midnight last night and I’m still waiting on Bell South to pay me a visit. Hmmm…I’m thinking that last nights storm had something to do with it. But why only my DS1? Grrr….
